On the Menu: Four Summer Recipes

Summer-Panzanella-Salad_3_600

In the summer I make it my mission to go to the farmers market every Sunday. We go year round but I’m a sucker for stone fruit and berries. There is nothing quite like a salad with everything from the market. Lately I’ve been inspired to step outside my 10 recipe rotation to try new things. Here are four that I can’t wait to prepare for family and friends.

ASPARAGUS, PEA + BROCCOLI RABE SAUTÉ OVER A CHICKPEA + CHIVE MASH

Our household loves anything with asparagus. Doesn’t this Asparagus Pea Broccoli Rabe Saute look incredible?

RICOTTA-STUFFED ZUCCHINI FLOWERS

I have a thing for squash blossoms – but who doesn’t? They are one of the most delicious treats you can make. I wish the season for them was longer. So, when I saw this recipe for Ricotta Stuffed Zucchini Flowers I thought – hallelujah. Hoping I can find them somewhere!

TOAST WITH PEACHES, TAHINI AND HONEY

Stone fruit is my jam. I live for them to arrive at our local farmers market. And when you pair stone fruit and toast – well that’s heaven. These Toast with Peaches, Tahini and Honey will be making an appearance at our next gathering.

CHARRED SCALLIONS WITH BURRATA AND HAZELNUT MINT PICADA

Grilling in the summer is probably one of my favorite ways to cook. We’re lucky that we can walk over to my moms to use her grill (no backyard for us). These Charred Scallions with Burrata have my name written all over them.

I hope this has inspired you to cook up one of these mouthwatering recipes. If you are looking for more recipe inspiration pop over to our food archives.
