Lifestyle: Creating Me Time

With parking becoming more of a hassle everyday, I have started leaving the car behind and using UBER to get around town. It’s so great to be able to get where you need to go with the simple touch of a button. I have used UBER all over the world, and I’m finding even when I’m at home, it can make the stress just melt away. It’s so convenient and it’s a reliable way to get around town.

Today I needed a stress-free day to recharge my battery. With two littles at home, I’m pretty much going non-stop day and night. I decided to start my day at Equator Coffee by Fort Mason. I just recently became a coffee drinker and I love their coffee. I found the perfect spot outdoors to catch up on what I needed to accomplish this week. The view of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge wasn’t bad either! Then I took a quick walk to Chrissy Field. Since I didn’t bring a car, I could easily get an UBER. It’s such an efficient and hassle-free way to get around. And when I’ve used them in other countries, the drivers were so knowledgeable about the cities I was visiting, I would often end up changing my plans!

Anyway, back to my ideal day! My walk helped me work up an appetite and so I made my way to Little Gem across town in Hayes Valley for a healthy lunch. And since it’s in the neighborhood (umm…maybe I planned it that way!), I stopped by Metier to check out the beautiful vintage and handcrafted jewelry and accessories that always bring a smile to my face.

Finally, I grabbed one more UBER to take me back to my neighborhood. Before heading home, I went for a much-needed class at Mighty Pilates. I have been making an effort to go several times a week, which makes my body feel rejuvenated. They have a new monthly pass that has been great because it makes me actually go in order to use up all the classes.

If you aren’t an UBER customer already, you should consider using them next time you need to get somewhere hassle-free. I always use uberX to get to the airport. And did you know with Scheduled Rides, you can set a pick up 30 days to 15 minutes ahead of time. When the time comes, they’ll request a car on your behalf to be ready and waiting when it’s time to go. What’s not to love about that?
