Having a toddler and an infant at the same time, I feel as if it’s a constant struggle to keep my house looking good. We are of the belief that there are no “off limits” areas to our home. It seems the edges are a bit worn and I need to think about a refresh. One room I am addressing this summer is my bedroom. I desperately needed new linens and a different look that is lighter and calming.
I went no further than down Sacramento Street to Jessie Black. You walk into the shop and it is the definition of calm and soothing. Exquisite linens and carefully curated furniture and accessories, make this a shop at the top of my list when I am looking for items for my clients.
What I’ve done in my bedroom was relatively simple. I changed the lamps to these stunning Parisian Driftwood Lamps – a much needed change since I’ve had them since college. I then added new pillows, a Belgian Stitched Blanket and throws and it looks so much better. I also got one of the Gerhard Ceramics vases and a beautiful South African hand-woven basket that I am completely giddy about. In the end, my bedroom is an oasis of calm and I couldn’t be happier. I created two different looks. Which do you prefer?
